EPowerLabs approved as a qualifying R&D provider under France’s Crédit Impôt Recherche (CIR)

EPowerLabs has been approved as a qualifying research and development service provider under France’s Crédit Impôt Recherche (CIR) programme.

In practical terms, French companies working with EPowerLabs on powertrain testing or engineering services can now apply the CIR tax credit directly to our invoices, treating this work as eligible R&D expenditure.

Testing programmes already on your roadmap, such as e-motor characterisation, e-axle validation, climatic durability or NVH testing, to name a few, can now qualify for this government-backed benefit, with no additional administrative work on your side. The same applies to engineering work such as electric motor design, powertrain integration or end-of-line (EOL) testing.

The deduction rate and eligibility criteria depend on each company’s individual situation. More information is available in the French Ministry for the Economy’s guide on the research tax credit (CIR); we’d always recommend confirming the details with your tax adviser as well.
